Overview
Alpolic A/FR replaces the standard polyethylene core with a mineral composite that dramatically reduces flame spread and smoke generation — a code-required specification for exterior ACM cladding on buildings above 40 feet in most US jurisdictions. The PVDF coil-coated aluminum face is identical to A/PE and accepts direct UV printing and standard fabrication processes. A/FR is heavier than A/PE at equivalent thickness due to the mineral fill content — structural support spacing and mid-span deflection calculations should account for the added weight on large panel installations.
